My writing career began in 2016, at the Royal Society of Chemistry in Cambridge, when I started writing about cutting edge science for the industry-leading print magazine, Chemistry World. As soon as my first article went live, I was hooked. I went on to write and edit for the University of Cambridge and AstraZeneca until I left science behind to pursue my dream career in the video games industry.

In 2023, I joined CBR to build a new section dedicated to trading card games. Serving as the section editor, I wrote dozens of my own articles and worked tirelessly to establish a flourishing section with a high standard. Later that year, I joined Dot Esports as an editor, where I wrote hundreds of esports and gaming articles alongside my editorial duties.

At CBR and Dot Esports, I interviewed AAA games developers, attended industry events, and used a host of analytics tools to get the scoop on important stories. You can read a few writing samples below.

Path of Exile usually pushes the boat out with creative features, but the upcoming expansion takes things to another level. In Settlers of Kalguur, releasing on July 26, you can build and manage your own city—an impressive addition to a 10-year-old game.“It was kind of like, why haven’t we done this already?” Path of Exile game director Mark Roberts tells Dot Esports. Roberts says Settlers of Kalguur’s city-building feature “pushes the X-factor boundary,” and he wants every new League to be bett...

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree review – FromSoftware has never been better

There are some games you wish you could forget playing just to experience them for the first time all over again. For me, Elden Ring is one of those games, and after spending nearly 50 hours with Shadow of the Erdtree, I’m delighted to say it evokes that very same feeling.

Elden Ring‘s expansion isn’t without its flaws, but it’s artisanally crafted and a joy to explore. It’s impressively expansive, packed to the brim with secrets, and hauntingly beautiful from start to finish. From the moment I
